Designed for the collection, storage and long-term freezing of expressed breast milk, Medela's Pump and Save Bags make it easy to keep fresh, nutrient-rich breast milk on hand for feedings. Safe and sanitary, these are the same bags as those used in hospitals. The Pump and Save bags are specially designed to securely store breast milk. They feature a quick cleaning, leak-proof zipper top for easy open and close as well as to keep milk safely contained.
In addition, the no-spill, stand-up bottom lets you rest the filled bag on a countertop while recording the name, date and time in the convenient labeling area. And once in the refrigerator or freezer, these bags line up and stay in place for effortless, space-saving storage.
Safe and Sanitary Storage
Because it's so important that everything in contact with baby be clean, sanitary and chemical free, the Pump and Save bags are made to be safe for the collection, storage and feeding of breast milk. Each bag is double-walled to remain fresh during long-term storage, and all parts that come in contact with breast milk are 100-percent BPA/DEHP free. Made of special plastic, these bags also retain breast milk's beneficial properties so every feeding truly nourishes your growing child.
Easy to Use
When it's time to store milk or feed baby, Medela knows you don't have extra time to struggle with complicated procedures. That's why the Pump and Save Bags are made to be easy to set up and move to the refrigerator or freezer.
For optimum convenience, the exclusive self-stick strap attaches directly to the breast shield for fast and easy set-up without any struggling with special attachments. Then you're ready to pump directly into the bag. Once you begin, clear markers tell you when you reach the 150 millimeter mark, which helps ensure that milk, which expands as it freezes, won't cause a mess once stored.

(71 customer reviews) Difficult to zip!, 2010-08-29 The zip on these bags is extremely picky. You think you've sealed it, run your fingers over it multiple times, but no, it's not sealed and leaks all over. My solution was to squeeze the bag when I thought I had it, just to check. At least a fourth of the time, milk would squirt past the seal. If it isn't reliable for storage, it has no purpose. And really, Medela makes no bags that are a perfect fit for the Freestyle pump? Good grief, it's their top-of-the-line pump.
My solution? I switched to the Lansinoh 20435 Breastmilk Storage Bags, 25-Count Boxes (Pack of 3), double zip and easy to seal. They freeze perfectly and fit in my The First Years Milk Storage Organizer. I had to improvise with the bags to connect them to my Freestyle pump anyway so why struggle with the Medela bags?
Avoid the new product, 2010-08-25 I loved the older version of this product (the one that is pictured here and has a yellow swirl on the front). it works great!! it was easy to use, never leaked. The new version of the product has a major issue with the ziplock aspect of it. They made it skinnier and it doesn't seal as well. Look for the old boxes.
Don't lie flat, only single ziploc, 2010-08-14 The little tape tab that lets you pump directly into the bag is cool. However, the bags don't lie very flat in the freezer, which becomes an issue when you are building up a little stockpile. Also the single, clear ziploc zipper is not enough. I've had milk leak because the zipper didn't close all the way. Much prefer the Lansinoh bags.
Does what its suppose to but messy!, 2010-08-10 I loved the idea of pumping straight into a storage bag. It ended up being a mess! I'll continue with my old system of pumping into the Medela 80ml tube bottles. If I know I will be freezing the milk I'll pour it from the tube to Lansinoh storage bags. I recommend those bags over the Medelas.
Great Product, 2010-08-06 These bags are great. We've had no problems with the bags not sealing properly (as long as they're not filled too full) or leaking. Definitely would recommend this product.
