The Summer Infant Secure Surround gate is a convenient way to carve out a playing space inside and outside of the house. The 30-inch tall and 32-inch wide durable plastic panels provide 18.5 square feet of play space. Remove two panels (from six to four) to use as a smaller play area or to partition "off limits" objects around the house. It is easy to assemble, and once set up, the surround gate was sturdy and sound, and the walk-through gate swings both ways for quick access. Fold up the panels and use the handle to carry and transport, just make sure you have a little muscle. --Scott Teal

Used to like it..., 2010-09-03
This pen WAS great. My little boy who is 17 months old got this around Xmas time last year. We were using it and it was working great. After a while the tighteners started falling off and worse yet, dropping itty bitty screws randomly without warning. As you all know a 1 year old WILL put shiny little things in their mouths. Three times now I have found screws on the floor from the gates. Thankfully, I found them, not my baby boy. It's something I will contact consumer services about since I think these screws are a complete danger/choking hazard to toddlers, and pets for that matter. I purchased 2 of these sets and trying to contact the company is a JOKE. They want the gates back, they want ME to ship them back and then wait for weeks for a possible replacement, if THEY find them to be defective, YEAH OK!! Go with something else.
Just what I needed, 2010-08-29
After researching many baby and pet play pens I decided on this one. I am sure glad I did. This was the most value for my money and turned out to be just what I needed. We have a new labrador puppy and I didn't want to use a traditional dog crate. He's about 11 weeks now and he loves it, goes right to it to take a nap. This pen is well made and easy to put together and take down. It's tall enough for now and gives him enough room to have seperate areas for sleep, eat and potty pad if needed (hasn't had to use it though :)
I work in a large pet store chain store and feel this is better than the metal ones we sell, based both on quality and price.

Play Pen Review, 2010-07-20
I was looking for a play pen to help house break our new puppy. The height and size of the Summer Infant Secure Surround Play Safe Play Yard looked like just what I needed. I read previous reviews on this product to be aware of the pros and cons before deciding to purchase it. The pen was delivered within the stated time frame. Assembly was super easy because it came assembled. If the pen is to be used for children, just be aware that it is light weight and can be moved around by the children playing inside of it. It is perfect for kennel training your puppy. A puppy could possibly learn to climb up the pen, but that is yet to be a problem with our pup. I did have to remove 2 panels to further limit the space because of continued "accidents" by our pup and that problem went away. After a month of usage, I am completely satisfied with this product.

This is the second time I have bought this item.. when my grandson was 1 yr old, I bought this to use in the house
as a play area to keep him safe. We also used this as an outside play area, at the beach, in the backyard
and when visiting friends. Of course, his parents won't let it out of their hands, so now, he is three and I bought a second one to have here at my house and use it as a double protection in front of my pool gate and to seperate the dog from the living room when baby is here. It is an awesome product and very easy to set up and take down and take with you and to store. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND this product for anyone with little ones!!!
